About me
Linus Walch - Born 1994
Growing up in Lech at the Arlberg, I discovered my passion for skiing and the mountains at an early age. I took my first turns on skis at the age of three and through the Ski Club Arlberg my enthusiasm for both racing and powder skiing flourished. Together with my brother and my friends, we spent our days off exploring every hidden corner of the Arlberg – adventures that shaped my love for nature and the mountains.

My journey as a ski racer opened the door to incredible experiences, taking me to ski resorts around the globe and earning me a sports scholarship at the University of Utah. After my time as a competitive skier I returned to the mountains I call home. During my time at the Ski Academy in St. Christoph I honed my skills and earned certifications as a state-certified ski instructor, ski guide and ski coach.

Today I work as a ski instructor and guide at the Arlberg, sharing my passion for the mountains with my guests. In the summer time I accompany my clients as a certified hiking guide on alpine adventures.
My Values
Expertise
As a state-certified ski instructor, ski guide and ski coach I bring extensive expertise and years of experience to the mountains. Regular training and my daily work in challenging environments ensure that my skills and knowledge remain sharp and that I always stay up to date with the latest techniques, enabling me to provide the best possible guidance to my guests.

Passion
Skiing is more than just a profession for me—it’s my passion. Since the moment I first strapped on skis at the age of three, I’ve been captivated by the beauty of nature and the magic of snow. Sharing this love for skiing and the mountains with others, helping them not only to improve their skills but also connect with the alpine environment in a meaningful way is what fulfills me.

Safety
Safety is the cornerstone of every adventure I lead. Through my active involvement in mountain rescue and my guiding educations I gained the skills and experience needed to navigate the mountains safely. From identifying potential risks to adapting plans based on weather or terrain, I approach every situation with a focus on minimizing hazards while maximizing enjoyment.
